Dr. Lippert has been an Organization Development Consultant since 1973 specializing in culture change, teams that produce outstanding results, globalization of the workplace, and increased personal and professional effectiveness. Her consulting firm’s worldwide clients range from multinational corporations to schools and universities.
Having received her doctorate in Organization Behavior and Consultation, Kathy has served as a faculty member in the American University/NTL Institute Master of Science in Organization Development program, the University of Cincinnati/ NTL Institute Master of Science in Organization Development program and in the graduate and undergraduate departments at several universities and colleges. In her more than forty-nine years as an NTL Institute professional member, she has staffed and served as dean for many of NTL's programs from Senior Managers Conferences, Team Building Skills and Advanced Team Building to Human Interaction Laboratories (T-Groups). Before working as an external consultant, Kathy served as an internal consultant for the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Research Center.
Dr. Lippert has worked in a number of countries outside of the United States of America. Her international work is extensive. A recent project, training professional staff members of the Witnesses and Victims Support Section of the Special Court of Sierra Leone, a United Nations backed war crimes court in West Africa, provided personal and professional satisfaction.
The value of empowering others runs deep throughout her work. Inclusion and appreciation for the positive are hallmarks of the work she does. Besides consulting, coaching, training, teaching, and mentoring, she has served on several Boards of Directors including the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science’s Board of Directors where she provided leadership for two years, from August 2021-July 2023, as Board Chair. Dr. Lippert has written and published articles and chapters on group process and change.
Kathy resides with her family in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. In addition to her professional work, she was elected to the position of Democratic State Central Committee Woman from the Seventh State Senatorial District of Ohio. She advocates for democratic principles especially greater diversity, equity, and inclusion so that we have true justice and engagement in our lives and communities.
